The ZW300USTe model is a 3D-DLP projector from Optoma, intended for Short Distance applications, offering 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 100000:1 at WXGA 1280 x 800. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 54 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 401 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
