Based on DLP technology, the Optoma DX733 device delivers 2500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 2500:1 as a projector. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 290 cm. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.

Good decision
Have had the projector for about a year and am very happy with it.
Two small things bother me a little, but I can live with them more than well!
1 The fan noise in Eco Mode OFF is a bit loud
2 The lens cover is extremely difficult to remove
Other than that, I only have positive things to report. The picture is razor sharp and you can adjust it in many ways. The projector is quite light, which is good for me because I travel a lot with it. If you use the projector primarily for presentations, you quickly realize that this device can do much more. If you then send moving images to the projector in an appropriate resolution, you‘re in for a real treat!
Would buy this thing again and again...!
I have to say that this is my first own projector, maybe there are universes better... but it is well known that there is always a bigger fish! :-) The purchase costs are of course also a decisive factor (unfortunately)!

I‘ve been using the device for over a year now. Used professionally for presentations and privately for movies and games consoles. The picture is good for a projector in this price range. The operating noise is also acceptable. The picture started to flicker after a few hours of use. I sent the device in and received it back with the information that no defect was found. However, the projector no longer flickered after this non-repair.
This projector is certainly recommended in this price range.

A great projector for presentations as well as movies! The image display can be adjusted as desired. So far I can‘t agree with the previous writer. For me, the picture is equally good in all areas. The operating noise in Eco mode (which is LIGHT enough even for presentations) is also pleasantly quiet.
Have the projector for projector shows, movie nights and presentations and in every respect a super projector!

Not recommended
Have had the projector for about 2 months. Unfortunately, it scatters light in the left corner (yellow, violet, blue). MCS Service GmBh has already had the projector twice, each time the complete engine was changed. The light streaks have a size of approx. 30x40 cm with a diagonal of 2m, which are particularly visible with a white background (presentations). MCS also told me that this light scattering is supposedly normal due to the size of the projector. That‘s why I‘m giving it a clear thumbs down, because I didn‘t expect anything like this from Optoma devices. If it worked with the optics, then this projector would be a SUPER device!
