Designed for the Short Distance sector, the W305ST model from Optoma features 3200 ANSI lumens, a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast ratio of 18000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4500 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.2 years when used for 2 hours a day. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 104 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 575 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 383 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
