The Optoma HD20 is a Laser-BrilliantColor-DLP projector that brings 1700 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution alongside a contrast of 5000:1. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 1700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 419 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 279 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. This model dates back to 2009 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

Have had the Hd 20 from Optoma since mid-2010. Picture in Full HD formats more than excellent, as are all picture values such as black level. Rainbow effects are virtually non-existent. Reference Bluray = AVATAR by James Cameron in 2D.
So far, the projector has run without any problems, despite a lot of use. It was used for Internet, PC, Playstation = games, TV, DvDs and Blurays - with excellent picture quality on the various systems. I have now replaced it with a 3D projector from Optoma and sold the HD 20. The HD 20 continues to run smoothly for the very satisfied buyer. You can‘t expect more from a home cinema device! Especially not at this price!

Mega Beamer!
Have had the projector for about a month now and am super happy with it! I had previously bought the Acer 7530, but I returned it because of the noticeable "rainbow effect" that some people experience with DLP projectors, including me. At first I didn‘t want to get another DLP projector, but as I only ever had LCD projectors and they are very susceptible to dust and the displays lose their color fastness more quickly or often get a blue tint with age, I tried a DLP projector, the Optoma HD 20, again and was amazed at the "rainbow effect" that was almost invisible! The colors and the sharpness via HD playback are really top class for this price range! Even normal DvDs look good! The black level is also great, because my ceiling and the walls are white and therefore reflect the light to the screen, so the room is not optimized! The fan is also not audible at normal volume. The only thing to criticize is the somewhat small zoom and the lack of lens shift, i.e. the height and side adjustment of the image, otherwise I would have awarded 100 points! All in all, a great device that is more than worth its price!
