The technical data of the Optoma EW531 includes 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 as well as a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 538 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 359 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
