Equipped with DLP technology, the Optoma ZU500T -B -W offers 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 300000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
