Equipped with DLP technology, the Optoma EH412ST offers 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 100 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
