Known as the HD8600, this Laser-DLP projector by Optoma features basic specs of 1600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 at a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction, granting significant leeway during mounting. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 406 cm can be illuminated with 1600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 271 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
