Based on DLP technology, the Optoma EW533ST device delivers 2500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 3000:1 as a projector. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. Looking at practical performance, up to 508 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 339 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 29 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
