Categorized in the Short Distance segment, the HD29HSTx projector from Optoma projects with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution, alongside 4000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 50000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 98 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
