The basic data of the Optoma HD600X includes 1600 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720 as well as a contrast of 3500:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. Regarding projection size, the value of 1600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 406 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 271 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Small screen width, rooms with very little ambient light below 50 lumens.
I got this projector new for 440€, considering the price, the picture quality is sensational.
Compared to the HD700x, the deinterlacer is weak, so you should set the DVD/BluRay player or HD satellite/cable receiver to 720p or 1080p (which is the norm for most people anyway).
The color reproduction is excellent, I had no need to change the picture parameters. Subjectively, the RBE is lower than on the HD700x and HD70, but it didn‘t bother me much either, the Acer devices I tested were all worse.
Thanks to the Optma 3D-XL box, it will also be compatible with PS3 and BluRay Player 3D technology in the future.
Watching in low light is no problem, although the quality increases noticeably when the screen is completely darkened.
You won‘t find an LCD device in the under 1000€ range that can hold a candle to the Optoma in terms of picture quality.
A nice thing compared to the HD700x. The offset is smaller, the projector can now be placed closer to the ceiling and is not so low in the room, making it much easier to set up.

Perfect for 3D...
Hi Leutz, I only bought the projector for 3D applications. I can recommend it unreservedly. The 3D recording is done via PC with the 3D-Vision from Nvidia. As I watch 2D movies via another projector (1080p), I can‘t and don‘t want to comment on this. But 3D is simply awesome....
