The projector HD29HST by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 98 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
