The projector H76 by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 1000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 214 cm. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
