The technical data of the Optoma HZ40STx includes 4200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000:1 as well as a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 20.5 years possible. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 100 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 4200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 658 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 439 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2022 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
