As a projector, the Optoma EP1080 combines DLP technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 3600 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2200:1. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 610 cm can be illuminated with 3600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 407 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
