Categorized in the Homecinema segment, the HD131X projector from Optoma projects with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution, alongside 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 20000:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 8000 hours for this projector's lamp. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 11 years. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Class part
The Optoma HD131x is a super projector. It has been doing a great job since the beginning of 2014 and now has just over 1300 hours under its belt.
Personally, I can only recommend this projector to everyone!!!
Price performance is absolutely TOP !!!

Optoma HD131X supplement
replacement for Benq W600 (720 DPI) ceiling installation.
Bought three days ago and tested intensively.
Picture quality:
2D Blu ray with PS3 significantly better than Benq W600
2D PS3 games with 720 DPI insignificantly better than Benq W600
2D in basic setting very nice colors, very good contrast and nice and bright.
3D definitely better than in the cinema. We are thrilled
3D bright enough even in Ecomode. Home theater room in the basement with two small windows, screen width 200cm, format 16:9 with Vidimensio 4th generation glasses. Works perfectly despite 10m cable HDMI 1.4b.
3D Recommendation: The screen should be slightly larger. Our seating distance with 3D approx. 2.5m (screen/face).
Volume
Normal mode - louder than my Benq W600 in Ecomode
Ecomode - just fine, volume like W600 in Ecomode
Ecomode, Dynamic black off - pleasant, significantly quieter than W600 in Ecomode.
Color wheel is audible, but fan is dominant.
Operation
Operation is clear and intuitive
Remote control is illuminated and the most important menu items have their own buttons.
Focus wheel is fiddly to adjust as it is very sensitive.
Recommended purchase:
Unlimited for all those who watch 2D and 3D Blu-ray films and can realize a screen width of at least 2m. Also well suited for PS3 games - although my Benq would have sufficed for that too. Beautiful colors, crisp, sharp and pleasantly quiet, but only in the mode recommended above.

Optoma HD131X
Reviews and tests on the Internet show that this device can keep up with the Benq W1070 in terms of quality and is also significantly quieter.

Optoma HD131X
This projector features the new DC-3 dark chip. The picture is first-class in all areas (2D and 3D). It accepts all input signals in 2D and 3D.
I don‘t know of a better projector at the current market price.
