Equipped with DLP technology, the Optoma EX521 offers 2600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4500:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 5000 hours for this projector's lamp, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. Looking at practical performance, up to 444 cm can be illuminated with 2600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 296 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
