The equipment of the Optoma EW556 projector includes 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 13000:1 with a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4500 hours before a replacement is necessary. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.2 years possible. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 575 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 383 cm. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
