According to Optoma, the DS325 model provides 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 10000:1 alongside a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4500 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. Regarding projection size, the value of 2800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 461 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 307 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
