As a projector, the Optoma EX525ST combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 2500 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2500:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 120 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 290 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. This model dates back to 2008 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
