Behind the name EX530 is a DLP projector by Optoma, whose main features include 2600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 444 cm can be illuminated with 2600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 296 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
