The EX550 model from Optoma combines DLP technology in the Standard-Portabel sector with 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 and a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 461 cm can be illuminated with 2800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 307 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This model dates back to 2011 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range.
