The equipment of the Epson USA PowerLite Z8000W projector includes 6000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 with a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 display. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2500 hours before a replacement is necessary. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Distance Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 787 cm can be illuminated with 6000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 525 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
