The hardware properties of the BrightLink 430i manufactured by Epson USA include 3000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast value of 3000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 110 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
