The BrightLink 696Ui model is a LCD projector from Epson USA, intended for Whiteboard applications, offering 3800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 16000:1 at WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Regarding projection size, the value of 3800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 626 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 417 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Specifically for the educational or business sector, an interactive whiteboard function is also integrated. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
