The PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 model from Epson USA combines LCD technology in the High-End Homecinema sector with 1200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 12000:1 and a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 1700 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted without quality loss. The exact adjustment leeway can be calculated in the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 1200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 352 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 235 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
