With the PowerLite 50C, Epson USA offers a LCD projector that features 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 and a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. The projector was released in 2001 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
