With the PowerLite 500C, Epson USA offers a LCD projector that features 800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 and a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 246 cm can be illuminated with 800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 164 cm. Since entering the market in 2000, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
