As a projector, the Epson USA PowerLite Home Cinema 5020UBe combines LCD technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 2400 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 320000:1. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Lens Shift Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 2400 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 498 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 332 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
