As a projector, the Epson USA PowerLite 2042 combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 4400 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 15000:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 5500 hours for this projector's lamp. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 7.5 years possible. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Looking at practical performance, up to 578 cm can be illuminated with 4400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 385 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. This model dates back to 2017 and is no longer part of Epson USA's current product range.
