The equipment of the Epson USA PowerLite 2255U projector includes 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 with a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 display. According to Epson USA, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 479 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since the projector supports Miracast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
