The projector PowerLite 955W by Epson USA operates as a LCD device with 3000 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 10000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 5000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 6.8 years. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
