A projector from Epson USA is the PowerLite 1284, whose LCD model delivers 3200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 15000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 5000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.8 years when used for 2 hours a day. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 575 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 383 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
