Based on LCD technology, the Epson USA PowerLite Home Cinema 5010e device delivers 2400 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 and a contrast of 200000:1 as a projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 6000 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 8.2 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 498 cm can be illuminated with 2400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 332 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Since entering the market in 2011, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
