The equipment of the Christie Roadster HD20K J projector includes 18000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1600:1 with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. According to Christie, the lamp has a durability of 750 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 18000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1363 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 909 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
