Based on DLP technology, the Christie DS+300 device delivers 3300 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 and a contrast of 2500:1 as a projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2250 hours before a replacement is necessary. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 500 cm can be illuminated with 3300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 333 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 24 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
