With the Matrix 2500, Christie offers a LCD projector that features 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 700 full on/off and a resolution of SXGA 1280 x 1024. According to Christie, the lamp has a durability of 8000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 11 years based on two hours of use per day. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction, granting significant leeway during mounting. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 2500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 423 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 282 cm. Since entering the market in 2004, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
