Based on DLP technology, the Christie DS30 device delivers 3000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SXGA 1280 x 1024 and a contrast of 1000:1 as a projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 464 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 309 cm. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
