The hardware properties of the HD8K manufactured by Christie include 8000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast value of 2000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 8000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 909 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 606 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
