The projector LX505 by Christie utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 616 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 411 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2010 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range.
