The hardware properties of the Vivid LX35 manufactured by Christie include 3500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast value of 800:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 515 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 343 cm. The projector was released in 2001 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
