The projector D12WU-HS by Christie utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 11500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1200:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1090 cm can be illuminated with 11500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 727 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. This model dates back to 2016 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range.
