The projector Inspire DWU960ST-iS by Christie utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 8100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1300000:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Lens Shift Calculator. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 130 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 8100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 914 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 609 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. A massive advantage for fixed installations is the HDBaseT interface, which transmits video, audio, and control signals losslessly over long cable runs.
