The projector DWU1800-JS by Christie utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 15000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 25000:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1244 cm can be illuminated with 15000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 829 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
