With the MIRAGE HD14K-M, Christie offers a 3D-Laser-DLP projector that features 12000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1000 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 12000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1113 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 742 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. This model dates back to 2012 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range.
