As a projector, the Christie Mirage S+16K combines DLP technology with a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050, and is additionally specified with 16000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 750 hours before a replacement is necessary. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 16000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1102 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 735 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.
