A projector from Christie is the Mirage S+2K, whose Laser-DLP model delivers 2000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 and a contrast of 1800:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 1000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 389 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.
