A projector from Christie is the DW6kc, whose DLP model delivers 5600 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720 and a contrast of 2000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 1000 hours. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector without digital interference. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 760 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 507 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
