Designed for the Short Distance sector, the X500i model from Benq features 2200 ANSI lumens, a native UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution and a contrast ratio of 600000:1. The manufacturer specifies a durability of 20000 hours for the LED light source. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 138 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 2200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Integrated voice control via Google Assistant also facilitates menu navigation and content searching. Since the projector supports Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
