The Benq MH856UST is a 3D-DLP projector that brings 3500 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution alongside a contrast of 10000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3000 hours before a replacement is necessary. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 70 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 601 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 401 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2015 and is no longer part of Benq's current product range.
